Our hosting solution lets you upload your own videos, customize players, copy and paste embed codes to easily place videos on your website, share on social media and track your results. Get access to our powerful platform and manage your video content with a “Self-Managed Account” or, if you want us to do the complicated work, choose a “SpykerManaged Account” and we will manage your video content for you.
1. SpykerManaged Account
We do all the complicated stuff so you don’t have to! We manage your content, uploading and optimizing your videos for search engines, creating players and giving you embed codes which allow you to play your videos on your website, as well as e-mailing you personalized analytics as an Excel file.
We charge a monthly fee for video hosting (storing and delivering videos) and then we charge for the specific services you request, such as preparing a video for streaming (encoding), uploading it to the platform, and optimizing it for search engines.
2. Self-Managed Account
Manage your own content with a self-serve-style account. Our hosting solution lets you upload your own videos, customize a player, copy and paste embed codes to easily play videos on your website, and track your results.
The platform comes with extensive analytics, including number of views, length of views and viewer engagement (so you know how long people are watching your videos). You can easily organize your video library and create multiple player types, create playlists and run multiple videos in one player, which is easily embedded in your site. You can add player sharing options like e-mail, and share your videos on Facebook and Twitter. You can also link to your YouTube account and publish directly, plus share your videos on iTunes.
Behind the scenes, our encoders can create multiple versions of your video and deliver the right one to the right device – so people can watch on a mobile phone, smart tablet, high-speed internet computer or a device with a slower connection. We use the popular JW Player and support HTML5 , so viewers can watch videos on iPads and iPhones.
Whichever solution you choose, SpykerManaged or Self-Managed, we have three plans available for covering the usage of the platform. Choose the one that best fits your needs.

SpykerHosting charges based on two measures: (1) platform usage and (2) video delivery. Platform storage charges cover video upload, storage, transcoding, plus content and playlist management on the platform. The charges for platform usage are based on the size of your video library and your use of the platform over time. This is tracked in terms of gigabytes (GB) per month. 1GB of storage amounts to approximately one hour of video – so if you have one GB of video to manage, then you need to use the Starter Package and grow from there.
Video delivery charges cover the cost of embedding video players, streaming or downloading your content, securing your content, and tracking video analytics. The charges for video delivery are based on the amount of video data transferred in gigabytes (GB). 1GB of delivery roughly corresponds to four hours of video watched by your users.
If your library is smaller than 1GB and you expect less than 1GB of viewership per month, the Starter Package might be right for you. If you need platform training and e-mail support and have less than 2GB of video (roughly two hours of content) and expect to stream up to 2.5GB (10 hours) per month, then the Premium Package is a good choice. If you need up to 5GB of storage and expect to stream up to 5GB a month and would like training and support, then choose the Pro Package.
Platform Training
Thirty minutes of free platform training is included in the Premium and Pro Packages when you sign up for a year of hosting. We use Skype to screenshare, and explain how the platform works. Further questions can be asked through e-mail or phone support, depending on which package you purchase.

Our user dashboard offers a simple interface for you to upload your videos, build playlists and publish video content to your site. Copy and paste a simple embed code, and get your videos live, fast!
Organize your library with custom tags to easily filter through your video content. Upload thumbnails, or select a poster frame directly from each of your videos. Our user dashboard enables you to group videos in playlists, build video players, track statistics, and manage your account. Take it to the next level, and add custom metadata to your videos and playlists.
Encoding
Transcoding is an important part of video publishing. Converting video and audio content to its optimal format and size ensures maximum compatibility across multiple browsers and devices. It also ensures instant video playback for a seamless user experience.
Our transcoding system provides the ability to create custom encodes for optimal cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. Custom video encodes include MP4 (H264/AAC), WebM (VP8/Vorbis), and FLV video (H263/MP3). Custom audio encodes consist of AAC, Vorbis, and MP3 audio.
Stream
Stream your SpykerHosting video and audio content with the JW Player. Change the layout and style of your player to fit perfectly on your site. Players are used to embed videos and playlists – any video can be embedded with any player. Duplicate your players for easy iterations, or build a new custom player from scratch!
Improve your reach and take advantage of our built-in HTML5 support to publish videos for the iPhone and iPad or various other devices. Stream your videos to users across the globe through our built-in Content Delivery Network (CDN). Ensure premium playback by profiting from our dynamic streaming model, which optimizes video quality for each viewer.
Distribute
Upload and encode your videos, customize your players, and then share your content. Build playlists by hand, using our simple drag-and-drop feature. Or set rules using our custom tagging feature to create dynamic playlists. Playlists can be published with an embed code, and also as an RSS feed. An RSS feed is used in systems such as iTunes and Google Video Sitemaps. Publish your playlists as an RSS feed and register it with Google Webmaster tools to improve search engine optimization (SEO).
Go viral with various sharing options for your video player, such as embed codes, Facebook, and Twitter. By default, our players contain social sharing embedding capability through Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and e-mail.
Analyze
Analyzing video performance helps publishers determine which types of videos and video ads have the greatest return on investment. Track your video views, video page views and total time viewed (or hours viewed) for each video you upload. Check the video engagement charts within your user dashboard and analyze viewership per second. Our analytics are updated in real time.
